Specialist attention.
A clearer path forward.

Gum problems, bone loss or missing teeth can leave you with difficult choices. A periodontist focuses on these concerns, helping you understand your options and how specialist care fits with your regular dentist.

Care focused on gums, bone and implants.

A periodontist is a dentist with additional specialty training in the tissues that support teeth and in dental implants. That training includes three years beyond dental school. Patients may see a periodontist for gum disease, recession, bone loss or implant planning.

Education, service and the practice team

Work alongside your regular dentist.

A referral brings specialist care into your existing dental plan. Tell the team who provides your routine and restorative care, and bring any referral information. Implant planning should identify the dentist who will provide the crown, bridge or denture.

Your questions, answered.

Does seeing a periodontist mean I need surgery?

No. Periodontal care includes nonsurgical treatment and maintenance as well as surgical procedures. Recommendations depend on the evaluation.

Can I call with questions before arranging a visit?

Yes. Call the office to discuss your concerns and what referral or records information is needed for an appointment.
